Abidjan, Tuesday, September 15, 2026. The PDCI-RDA Parliamentary Group launched a four-day workshop at the Noom Hotel dedicated to strengthening the capacities of its members of parliament, in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
Mastering Program-Budgeting to Better Oversee Government Action
From September 15 to 18, 2026, the group's MP-mayors will deepen their understanding of program-budgeting and the fiscal annex, with the aim of better decoding the State's budgetary choices, assessing their impact on the population, and carrying out their oversight mission with greater rigor.
The program covers, among other topics, the mechanisms of program-budgeting, analysis of budget proposals and public debt, tax and fiscal-annex issues, as well as Parliament's powers of amendment and oversight.
Participants praised the quality of the discussions and the expertise of the speakers, while also welcoming the presence of colleagues from the AGIR and SOLIDARITÉ parliamentary groups at the opening ceremony.
For the PDCI-RDA, a credible parliamentary opposition is above all a trained opposition, capable of analyzing, overseeing, and proposing solutions: training today to oversee more effectively today, and thereby contribute to more effective governance tomorrow.
